These Recruiting Website Terms and Conditions of Use and Agreement ("Agreement") last Revised: June 28, 2017.

Please read these terms carefully before continuing this process. By continuing this process, you acknowledge that you ("you," "your" or "User") have read these terms, INCLUDING THE AGREEMENT TO ARBITRATE ALL CLAIMS ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS, AND THAT YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THEM. If you do not agree to all of the terms, you are not authorized to continue this process. The terms in this Agreement are in addition to and supplement the Bridgewater Website Terms & Conditions of Use and Bridgewater Privacy Policy, which are incorporated by reference herein and made a part hereto.

Bridgewater Associates, LP ("Bridgewater," "we" or "us") reserves the right, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to change, modify, add or remove all or portions of the Agreement at any time for any reason and in our sole discretion except as noted in the next paragraph.

You acknowledge that by accessing any of Bridgewater's recruiting sites, which includes www.bridgewater.com ("Website") you are agreeing to the Agreement. We will alert you if changes have been made by indicating on the Agreement the date it was last amended. We suggest that you periodically review the Agreement. Nevertheless, we will not apply material changes to the Agreement's mutual agreement to arbitrate without notifying you. Changes to the mutual agreement to arbitrate will only apply to claims that arise after we provide such notification.

Not an Offer of Employment

We appreciate your interest in submitting information via this Website. However, submission of a resume or application, or completion of any assessments on this Website, shall not be regarded as a solicitation or offer of employment by Bridgewater, and we are under no obligation to respond to any such submission. Your submission creates no contract between you and Bridgewater for employment or any other benefit. Should we be interested in exploring employment opportunities with you, we will contact you in response to your submission.

Unauthorized Use

Unauthorized use of the Website, including but not limited to misuse of passwords or posted information, is strictly prohibited. Authorized users of this Website include candidates for employment or users seeking information about employment opportunities at Bridgewater, and any other users authorized by Bridgewater. It is your responsibility to safeguard any password and User ID you use to access the Website and to notify us at websitehelp@bwater.com if you ever suspect that this password or User ID has been compromised. You are solely responsible for any unauthorized use of the Website conducted via your password and User ID.

Use of the assessments on this Website by recruiters, "head hunters," employment consultants or agencies, personnel placement agencies professional services companies, employment contractors and staffing agencies seeking current Bridgewater employees as candidates for placement is strictly prohibited.

Mutual Agreement to Arbitration

You agree to submit all claims against Bridgewater (including its past, present and future employees in both their individual and official capacities), and Bridgewater agrees to submit any claim against you, to binding arbitration on an individual basis under the national rules for the resolution of employment disputes of the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") as modified by the provisions of this agreement. A copy of these rules is available on the AAA's website. The claims the parties agree to submit to arbitration include, without limitation, all claims arising out of or related to this Agreement, your use of the Website, your application for employment and all other employment-related matters (such as discrimination or other statutory claims under federal, state or local law) excluding only those claims that as a matter of law cannot be resolved through mandatory pre-dispute arbitration. No "class" or similar group arbitration shall be permitted. All arbitration hearings or similar proceedings shall be held in Westport, Connecticut, although you may elect telephonic proceedings or waive any hearing.

Any arbitral award shall be final and binding and may be enforced by any court of competent jurisdiction.

YOU ALSO ACKNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTAND THAT, WITH RESPECT TO ANY DISPUTE WITH US:

  • YOU ARE GIVING UP YOUR RIGHT TO HAVE A TRIAL BY JURY;
  • YOU ARE GIVING UP YOUR RIGHT TO HAVE A COURT RESOLVE ANY SUCH DISPUTE; AND
  • YOU ARE GIVING UP YOUR RIGHT TO SERVE AS A REPRESENTATIVE, OR IN ANY OTHER REPRESENTATIVE CAPACITY, OR TO PARTICIPATE AS A MEMBER OF A CLASS OF CLAIMANTS, IN ANY ARBITRATION OR LAWSUIT INVOLVING ANY SUCH DISPUTE.

Privacy

Please review our Privacy Policy, for information on how we collect, use, disclose and otherwise manage your personal information.

Confidentiality of Testing Materials

You agree to keep all testing materials, including but not limited to questions, question order, answers and the format of the test, strictly confidential. Users of the assessments are prohibited from disclosing testing information or materials to anyone except for authorized Bridgewater employees. To the extent that the User receives feedback regarding performance or use of any assessment, the User agrees to keep such feedback confidential.

Governing Law

All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of this Agreement or the rights and obligations of You or Bridgewater in connection with the Website shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the United States of America, State of Connecticut, without giving effect to any choice of law of conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction's laws. The mutual agreement to arbitrate will be governed by the Federal Arbitration Act and the laws of the State of Connecticut.
